Catherine Hoovel

A senior finance executive with deep global experience in corporate accounting, financial governance, and enterprise transformation. She served as VP Chief Accounting Officer and SVP Controller at McDonald’s from 2016 to 2024, leading global financial reporting, tax, FP&A, and business services for a company operating in 100+ countries with over $100B in systemwide sales. During her tenure, she helped drive over 50% sales growth and 15% unit expansion, while overseeing governance, SEC compliance, and internal controls.

Catherine also served on the audit committees of McDonald’s Japan and China and led key finance efforts through major transactions, restructuring, and the global pandemic. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, golfing, reading, and spending time outdoors.
